My darling husband has a couple unusual quirks (I suppose "unusual quirks" is redundant in a sense...oh well). For instance, he finds glorious things such as cake and chocolate quite uninspiring. I cannot understand it at all. But out of deference to him on his birthday, I acknowledged that a traditional cake would be in poor form, since I would enjoy it much more than he. Thus, we have the Rice Krispie treat cake (Rice Krispie treats are one Blake's favorite things in the world). I think it turned out pretty well (and for those of us who appreciate such things, there is chocolate filling in the center!).
