A Weekend Trip and Other Stuff

Blake and I made a quick trip to Eastern WA for my Grampie's sort of memorial service (it's complicated). It was tons of fun hanging out with my parents and siblings and their spouses, especially since the only one of the four grandchildren there was less than two months old! We ate good food, spent lots of time at McDonalads doing homework that required WiFi, and laughed a lot, especially during the first Thomas Family Game of Fish Bowl.
The living room of the cabin we all stayed at
There is a sketchy old bunker below the property, and a lovely view of the river.
An entirely pleasant porch
I attempted to be a good mama and made homemade playdough. Bashy discovered that it tastes pretty gross!
I also re-purposed (with the help of the babies) a Valentine's chocolate box and destroyed farm book into a holder for plastic farm animals!
If you can't eat it, what's it good for?
They had fun!

Just Some Pictures

Just a few pictures for your enjoyment!
We painted with sweetened condensed milk for a Valentine's craft!
Here's our artwork- it dries shiny!
I took their masterpieces and made cards out of them.
Silly, cute boy!
Bash was beyond excited to play with snow inside!
Bundling them up is too much work, considering they only want to stay outside for less than five minutes! They played with the snow indoors for over half an hour.
Rory was less than thrilled by the whole thing.
So she took to brushing Bashy's hair and showering him with kisses.
He was less than thrilled with that.
What a good brother: Taking care of Tina while Rory sleeps! Rory would have a heart attack to see Tina riding like that, but it's the thought that counts :)
Sweet Valentines
Such lovable little faces!
Bashy is very affectionate and huggy; he melts my mama heart!

All That's Up

We haven't been up to a whole lot lately. We survived what we hope were the two hardest weeks of the semester, when Blake had an EMT refresher course that took up all day Saturday and Sunday for two weekends. We had a fun Super Bowl party with friends (very little of the game was watched but lots of good company was enjoyed!), Bash is walking officially, Rory is back to potty training and saying ridiculous things that make us laugh, Brittany's Grandpa died after a painful illness and is now celebrating in Heaven so Blake and Brittany are taking a speedy trip to WA for a service next week. Brittany is so grateful now that she was able to see him over New Years and talk to him on the phone a week or so before he was heavily medicated; she got to tell him that the baby is a boy and that he's Grampie's namesake!
A method for combating grumpiness: Dinner on the floor out of muffin tins
Messy pudding snack
All dressed up for a pal's birthday party!
Wearing one of Blake's baby shirts!
Look at all those teeth!
Lounging in Rory's dollhouse, silly boy!
